Chatham Historic Dockyard

During my time at university, I have had the fortunate chance to work on a series of live projects at a Grade II conservation area developing an intergenerational nursery from a set of boiler houses at the Chatham Historical Dockyard.

The project proposes a Community Centre that connects the Historic Dockyard currently neglected with the Marina area that have recently received some housing investment. The building's design links both sides of Chatham and has spaces for art exhibitions, workshops and events, as well as a restaurant and bookshop.

The project was produced on Sketchup and Rhino which from those, I was able to produce final images from V-ray and KeyShot to Photoshop and other Adobe CC softwares, skills that were later used on my final commercial and interior design projects.

Technical drawings

To accompany this project, following the RIBA Plan of Works 2018, a Planning Policy report and Fee proposal was produced.

The report specifies all the technical solutions of the building such as Ventilation, Circulation (stairs, ramps and lifts), Access and Use.

The report was produced using InDesign and the images produced in AutoCAD and Photoshop.
